What’s DEM’s Major
Distribution? Do I
have to be Pre-Med?

No! DEM is open to all pre-health tracks. We have members majoring in everything from Biomedical Engineering, Public Health, Kinesiology, Anthropology, to even Business. The diverse interests of our members are something we use to our advantage to give everyone new perspectives within the healthcare field.

How Many Students Are Recruited?

We don't have a set quota on how many students we recruit every cycle. A typical class is around ~18 DEMbers, but if you're a fit for DEM, don't worry about the numbers!

What’s the Minimum GPA?

Our minimum GPA requirement for recruitment is a 2.5!

What will the Prospective Member Process look like?

Prospective New Members (PNMs) will meet bi-weekly with the Directors of Prospects (DOP’s) to learn about fraternity history and other information that will be tested during crossover. These meetings will also be an opportunity to engage and bond with your class. PNMs will also be able to engage with active members during social events to get to know the rest of the fraternity. PNMs may be asked to plan an event for their class to bond and an event for the entire fraternity to participate in. Keep in mind, this is only a rough overview!

Are there Community Service Opportunities?

Yes! DEM offers multiple community service opportunities for our members to participate in. Check out the "Our Involvement" page to learn more!

What is the Time Commitment Like?

We have Chapter meetings every other week and consistently offer activities ranging from community service, socials, fundraising events, and educational workshops. Although our active status commitments are not difficult to achieve, you will get out what you put in!
